Software Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving sales of our software products and services within a defined territory or set of accounts. This role involves identifying and qualifying leads, building relationships with key decision-makers, understanding customer needs, and presenting solutions that address those needs. The Account Manager will also be responsible for managing the sales cycle from initial contact through to closing the deal, as well as maintaining ongoing relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Responsibilities

Achieve or exceed sales targets within assigned territory or accounts.
Identify and qualify leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and online research.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within customer organizations.
Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements and challenges.
Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations.
Prepare and deliver proposals and quotes.
Negotiate contracts and close deals.
Manage the sales pipeline and forecast accurately.
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities within CRM system.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to ensure customer needs are met.
Stay up to date on industry trends and competitive offerings.
Attend industry events and conferences to network and generate leads.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Proven track record of success in software sales, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
Strong understanding of the software sales cycle and methodologies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and establish trust with customers.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of specific software industry or products is a plus.
